How much is a standard cake?

Every order is unique and special, so it is hard to have a set price. It varies depending on the size, shape, flavour and design. It’s best to message me via the ‘Request a Quote’ button at the top/bottom of the page.

How do I store the cake?

If the cake is not being cut and consumed in the first couple of hours from pick up, then place it in the fridge, in the box it came in. Bring the cake out of the fridge 1-4 hours before cutting and eating, this is dependent on weather! Please do not hesitate to ask me for advice on pick up, as it’s much nicer to eat at room temperature. Do not leave the cake in direct sunlight or near any heat source.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

I take a 25% non-refundable deposit when booking, this is due at the time of booking to secure slot. You are welcome to pay the full amount when booking. The rest of the payment is due before pick up. The cake will not be released until full payment has been received.

Do you do allergy friendly cakes?

Unfortunately, this is not something that I offer at this stage. Due to the seriousness that comes with allergies I am not 100% confident in this area and prefer to leave it up to those who are more knowledgeable.

Where are you located?

Mumma Kim’s cakes operates from a registered homebased kitchen in Mount Maunganui, Bay of Plenty.

What flavours do you do?

Chocolate: Moist chocolate cake filled with dark chocolate ganache 

White chocolate: Vanilla cake filled with white chocolate ganache

Lemon: Lemon cake filled with zesty lemon curd 

Vanilla: Vanilla cake filled with vanilla buttercream

White chocolate raspberry: Vanilla cake filled with white chocolate ganache and tangy raspberry sauce

Passionfruit: Vanilla cake soaked with passionfruit syrup and filled with passionfruit curd

Caramel: Vanilla cake filled with salted caramel sauce

Carrot cake: Traditional carrot cake filled with cream cheese icing

Red velvet: Soft red velvet cake filled with cream cheese icing or white chocolate ganache

All cakes are covered with vanilla buttercream unless specified. You are welcome to request flavour combinations, for example lemon white chocolate or if you have a specific flavour in mind that is not on this list please ask.
